16th Street Skateboard
Tom Perry, 15, sits handcuffed in the middle section of California Street on the 16th Street Mall in Denver, Colorado, on Thursday afternoon, June 21 after trying to skateboard through the Mall. Sources say at least 200 people were attempting to skate from the State Capitol building to the Denver Skate Park in celebration of Go Skateboarding Day, a demo held around the world. Denver Police arrested and ticketed over 25 people for illegally skateboarding down a street of high pedestrian traffic.
